Apparently, Brady performed better with the undefeated balls than the deflated ones.  I think it's more about comfort than trying to gain a competitive edge by cheating.  Again, when you pump up your own football, aren't you thinking about what feels best in your hand?  If different schools can have their own footballs in college, I guarantee they aren't all inflated to the same pressure for each given team.
