I don't much care if the Patriots footballs were under inflated. I also don't much care that one QB prefers his footballs over inflated and another under inflated nor where Tom Brady falls in that spectrum.Â
What I DO care about is the lengths the Patriots went to to purposefully circumvent the equipment rules and the NFL's enforcement process.Â
If a team conspires to modify footballs clandestinely after they have been certified game ready by the NFL then they deserve to be (and SHOULD BE) sanctioned. We all know the Patriots push the rules as far as the NFL well let them to seek a competitive advantage. The NFL needs to enforce its rules to communicate that they have pushed too far.
Hit Brady with a three week suspension and bar the involved equipment managers from participating in game day activities for the 2015 season and let's move on. I doubt this will be more than an embarrassing side note to his legacy.

In 1938 Neville Chamberlain declared "Peace in our time", Superman first appeared in Action Comics, Seabiscuit beat War Admiral ....... and C.a.l last won the Rose Bowl.
