Love the band - particularly their support of Stanford Athletes and the creative, joyous energy they bring to every performance.Â
Hopefully this sordid stuff will get sorted out - As I see it the essence of the band has been that they can self-organize and self-manage a complex activity and keep it fun, relevant to the student body and creatively chaotic while subsisting on beer and donuts.Â
In some ways they are the antithesis of the militaristic, no-fun bands run by "adults" at other schools. So if some are now comparing their management style to Ohio State's band that's a bad, bad thing but we're probably over-reacting.
I'm guessing this gets sorted out .... anyone have an inside view on this?

In 1938 Neville Chamberlain declared "Peace in our time", Superman first appeared in Action Comics, Seabiscuit beat War Admiral ....... and C.a.l last won the Rose Bowl.
