Most grad students wouldn't know what LSJUMB means, let alone get the band and they clearly would not have had friends on the field. 

Believe it or not, there was a time that grad students were allowed to live among undergrads. They coexisted together in the Manzanita Park trailers, in Mirielees, and in the co-ops. One of my housemates was part of the great trouser drop of 1986.
