CornFed's reading seems like the only reasonable one, particularly given that Ferrari began the thread with a plea to recruit 2-star players -- an implicit argument that recruiting rankings have little to negative predictive value. So if that's not the argument Ferrari was advancing, his real one was very well concealed.
