I only got to watch a couple games, but both of them featured Johnson* making some seriously bone-headed plays that could've cost the US dearly. The maybe-should've-been-a-red-card foul against Germany and the own goal (which could've mattered had the US not scored a couple minutes later, being down 2 goals with 40 minutes on the clock is bad, but not nearly as bad as being down 3). By all accounts she played superbly otherwise, I just thought it was odd that I had heard so many good things about her then when I'm actually watching she goes and does that. Oh well.



*Incidentally, I've wanted to ask about this forever, what's with calling sportsmen by their last names but sportswomen by their first names? This seems extremely common and I find it weird.
