Why the debate?  All schools I know of, including Stanford, allow units and specific courses to transfer.  I took freshman English in high school at the local JC and it transferred easily.  (The classes, not the units; they gave me 2 qtrs and 6 units credit for my 2 semester, 5 unit courses.  Pissed me off at the time.). A more interesting issue is why is it taking him so long?  Is he repeating a failed class?  I would think he would have handled this in the Spring, not summer.  Whatever, must be a difficult class.  After all, he has already been accepted into a graduate program at Oregon, right?
