Haven't seen the odds yet; I'm expecting us to be 10+ point underdogs. But that's okay, because I think we do better as underdogs, especially vs U*S*C. Makes victory that much sweeter ;)
I'll be shocked if we are only 10 pt underdogs at their place. I hate to say it but I think it will take a miracle to win. I will watch and root, of course, but it could get ugly unless we play lights out and they completely disregard us. Maybe we have been playing possum, looking terrible to lull them to sleep? Nah.

It's possible we're (over)due for a drubbing, HOWEVER, the margin of victory for the past 5 years has been 3, 3, 7, 8, and 3, with us winning 3 of the 5. Hogan has never beat the Toejams as the starter; I think he'll be extra-motivated to do so this year.

Oh, Thunderchik, I love you. We did beat them, with a back-up quarterback, in their house, as 41 pt underdogs. Yes, I remember. And I'm sure Hogan et al are motivated each week. I'm sure all of our 4 and 5 Stars are motivated to fulfill their potential and earn NFL riches. I'm sure the coaching staff is motivated to shut up the naysayers. And I'm sure U..SC is motivated to win their 3rd in a row. And wasn't Cutty Sark on the staff for the Greatest Upset Of All Time? He's probably motivated, too. All that means sh*t if we can't block, pass, catch and run. Such a simple game. Simple.Â
On a seperate note, although I applaud them and happy to see their success, I'm getting tired of reading about how great our alumni are doing, whether it's NFLers, Maverick, or whoever. Everyone of those guys could be on the sidelines Saturday, motivating the hell out of our CURRENT guys and it won't mean a thing. Sorry, this is feeling like the first 38 or so years of my Stanford fandom. I rooted for everyone of those teams, at every game, and followed them on Gametracker.Â
Oh, and if you're a gambler and can get Stanford and 8 puts, bet the house.
