I hope for his sake he doesn't play. Old men hobbling around on canes are one thing. Old men who can't remember their names, or how to eat are something else entirely, and so are young men so consumed by depression that they decide not to take it anymore. Let him play on a bum ankle, a sore shoulder, or weak knees, but keep players with injured brains off the field.
