I don\'t think Evan Turner was a one-and-done guy; in fact, he was pretty lightly recruited coming out of Chicago.
In terms of the theoretical debate, I think like a lot of things you need a mix. It\'s not good what Kentucky\'s doing, constantly cycling guys, because there\'s a lot of variance involved. The recruiting services for basketball are more accurate than their football counterparts, I think, but there\'s still uncertainty involved. And cycling through multiplies your uncertainty. What if Kentucky or UNC gets a class full of DeMarcus Cousins? You can handle one, but more than one is tough. Nevertheless, if you\'re looking at a Durant or Oden level talent, that\'s a significant edge for your team that other team\'s just won\'t be able to replicate. There just aren\'t too many three- or four-year guys who have the skills that Terrence Jones has, and that could make the difference between a Sweet Sixteen run and an Elite Eight or further run.
