Before we get too high and mighty, recall that Harbaugh called time out with 6 seconds left losing 45-16 to Under Stanford Control.  Grant it, we had possession of the ball, and wound up scoring to make the game 45-23, but still, we could have just run into the line and gotten out of there.  Yikes was sending a message to his team.

Well Harbaugh is also kind of a shithead. But seriously, I would understand it if Dykes were actually trying to win, but he wasn't. He was just running more plays for the sake of running more plays. If he wanted to win he would've been calling those TOs when UCLA was on offense and then actually running a hurry-up and passing downfield every down, none of which they were doing. If you're going to give up, then give up. He was giving up and sending the message that he was giving up, but being a dick while doing it.

I don't remember the exact situation with Harbs, but it sounds like that was just him throwing a fit, which isn't out of character.
