I don't remember the exact situation with Harbaugh, but it sounds like that was just him throwing a fit, which isn't out of character.

I recall with that game, and someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but we were going to kick a FG, and Carroll tried to ice the kicker, so Harbaugh came back out and went for the TD.  I think it was part of his attitude of not taking crap from Carroll and USC, part of their multi-year delicate dance.  I remember enjoying the hell out of it.
