That is correct.  We called a time out with 6 seconds left to try to get into position for a field goal.  We advanced the ball, and went for the field goal; Under Stanford Control called a time out to ice the kicker so Harbaugh said f--- it and went (and converted) the touchdown.  The next year we played the what's your deal? game.

I recall hearing that the TD instead of FG made a difference for bettors against the spread, so it wasn't just Pete who would be pissed off at Harbaugh, but a lot of front runner 'SC fans putting money on the Troj'ans exacting their revenge for '07 lost a lot of money on that decision.
