Maybe, but an expected onside kick is somewhere in the 10-30% range of odds of success, and they'd get the ball nearly in FG range already, meaning even if you did stop them decent chance you now need a TD. Meanwhile, if you stop them after the kickoff you get the ball with decent field position and two minutes left. I don't think it's necessarily obvious which gives you better odds.
