Reality check:

13 of last 15 Heismans have been awarded to QBs;
With few exceptions, winner's team has been ranked in the top 5 in the country;
There is an "excellence with integrity" phrase in the HT award criteria that often is ignored (need I give examples?).
Voldemort award has definitely lost some of its prestige over the last decade.  And then there's the "curse"...

Hope CMAC is invited, but I don't expect he'll win it even if he breaks Sanders's record.  And he definitely won't win it if we lose to UDFG.

Sanders' Oklahoma State Cowboys faced only four .500 or better teams among their 11 regular season opponents, and three of them won 0, 0 and 1 games.  The opponents' overall record was 52-71 during the season.  Stanford will have faced eight teams with .500 or better records and a cumulative record of 73 and 58.
