Yes. It has a lot to do with the number of non league games you are allowed to play.  The WVB coaches wanted to play a certain number of non league games so came down to the 20 league games.Â
WBB the same but they
wanted the 11-12 (depending on a tournament like we are playing now) non league games.Â
In summary coaches wanted the most possible non league games. That could be fit in that is.
