Quote:Rice does have a scatter band and the tales of how they survived an angry Texas A&M mob make anything our guys and gals go through sound trivial.
I hope Rice really brings it. I see a version of the Gong Show breaking out. J.P. Morgoooooone........
Quote:It's kind of funny to describe the band as a bunch of hipsters considering they've essentially done the same thing for 20+ years (maybe longer but I don't have personal experience) and the idea of a "hipster" is a fairly recent development.

Don't be such a cube Daddy-o!
Quote:I do agree that one of the biggest problems with the current incarnation of the band is that it is toothless. All of the censorship and restrictions do make me question whether the style is viable any longer. It worked best when they were allowed free rein to ask deep questions like "These Irish, Why Must They Fight?" and serenade the OJ trial.
Fail. Epic fail. When you show up at a murder trial and play "She's Not There", that isn't funny, it's evil. (Yeah, yeah I know that wasn't an 'official' function, but they had their 'uniforms' on and were representing the University. There are limits for decent behavior in society. That was so far over the line as to demonstrate a borderline personality disorder.)
Yeah, I just stare at my desk, but it looks like I'm working .I'd say in a given week I probably only do about fifteen minutes of real, actual, work. Peter Gibbons
