I guess exponentially bad taste. Still think there is something beyond drunk and stupid there, but yes if you are that drunk, you can be that stupid. Can't be defended IMO.

Of course, I was on the field for the infamous Patty Hearst halftime show, so I'm not sure how my standards should be calibrated. Also, there was the 1974 formation [proposed, but, IIRC, didn't actually make it onto the field] relating to Richard Nixon when he had phlebitis: Song: Jim Croce's One Less Set of Footsteps; Formation: A wheelchair.
I'm guessing that probably wouldn't have been one of your favorites, either... [But, hey, according to Wikipedia, The Washington Post actually lampooned this in an editorial cartoon, so the Band wasn't wholly alone ...]
