I'm sure the Alumni Association has no authority on this matter, but what are they doing tweeting such a response? I suppose they are just trying to placate the offended masses, but if sticking to an approved, benign script, is going too far...

Sorry for being late to the party, but what kind of sanctimonious, over-reaching, condescending, pretending-to-have-authority-where-you-have-none, acting-like-you-speak-for-all-Stanford-alumni bullcrap tweet was that?

I don't even particularly like the band, but I sure as heck don't see how @stanfordalumni has any right to talk like that. And that apology was lame. Wow I'm pissed. Thanks Yvonne and anybody else who spoke up.
