Well, the direction this thread has taken is, um, interesting. If I had posted I photo of an item saying that Stanford men are powerful, would you have felt compelled to find an example of either a) a colossal failure or b) someone who used that power for ill?

Yes.  If he was currently in the headlines, was an epic case of failing up, and earned our ire by betraying our alma mater to pander to voters.
