Stanford 72, WSU 56
I have Cox in Santa Barbara, and all I get is the LA and Arizona (Arizona?) Pac-12 Network feeds. Translation: lots of UCLA, Unbelievably Spoiled Children and UA replays, but not much Stanford.
Alas, all I could do was follow the score on my phone. Did any living soul actually watch the game?
The beers were going down really easy as I watched this one. Our double-digit leads didn't always last as long as I would've liked (we got to 2-possession differentials more often than I would've liked) but the boys came through. Besides Humphrey's team-leading stats, Pickens was a "ball-hog" when he was in (and hitting), scoring as many as Rosco in far fewer minutes. I hope we can prepare for the Huskies and all they will bring on Saturday.
P.S. If I'm not mistaken, Verhoeven is still perfect from beyond the arc this year (1-1 today, 3-3 on the year)!
