Not sure this has been previously been posted, but here's an...interesting ... remark from Tony Bennett from a while back:

“I marveled at Stanford when I was in the Pac-10,” Bennett told me, “and I said, ‘Boy, that’s really what’s right about college sports, the ability to compete athletically and what’s going on academically.’ And then I looked at Virginia and thought this (is similar).”

On the other hand, he obviously just signed a contract. So I doubt it, for a number of reasons. Still interesting.
