I think Haase is making a big mistake not putting at least one former Stanford player or coach on his staff.  I hope he can course correct after the first year or two.  I really think this is essential to not only recruiting but rebuilding the fan base.

Pruitt is married to a former Stanford track and field coach. I think it's safe to say that he "gets" Stanford and understands the recruiting obstacles. And I'd question whether any fans who hold the staff's lack of playing experience in a Stanford uniform against them are really fans at all.
