The narcissism and condescension in this post is sickening. First of all, as BobK alluded to in two separate posts, Pruitt's wife coached and recruited for Stanford's track team. She filled these roles after serving as the program's director of operations. A simple Google search will reveal that she also worked in Stanford's "compliance office with an emphasis on recruiting." I would guess that in holding the latter position for two years the topic of recruiting at Stanford may have come up in conversation at the Pruitt dinner table a time or two. But who knows, maybe the topic never came up at all.
What I know for a fact is that your diatribe suggesting that she wasn't all that great because she's no longer at Stanford is disgusting! I don't know what an assistant track coach at Stanford earns nor do I know what the director of athletics at the Castilleja School earns. I also don't know what the Pruitts' family situation is and whether it had any impact on her move. Maybe you're right - maybe Ms. Pruitt couldn't coach distance runners how to avoid heel striking and so was relieved of her duties. Regardless of the reason for her leaving Stanford, she should be free from the type of vile attack you have already unleashed.
I was under the impression that personal attacks, much less ones directed at members of the Stanford Family, were out of bounds on this board. Apparently I was mistaken.
