How does the pairing process work?
If Walker in fact gamed it this way, it makes sense if you believe your advantage is in the middle of the lineup. If you think there is a decent chance you could go 0-2 by pairing #5 vs. #5 and #1 vs. #1, but you have the advantage in 2-4, then guaranteeing one win and trying to get 2 of 3 in the middle makes sense. And based on last year, one would expect us to go 3 for 3 in the middle: Aubert and Danielson should be very strong match players, and one would expect a win out of #2 Stackhouse.
