The commentators seemed fixated on the idea that Maynard is in the wrong system. Meanwhile Tedford seems incapable of changing anything to improve Maynard's chances for success. Odd, you'd think a coach with his tenure would not have this particular system-talent mismatch problem.
It really could get ugly for Tedford. Maynard's tendencies are EASY, EASY, EASY to identify, and he literally declares his pass intentions before he starts his motion. So I suspect it will only get worse as Pac-12 teams get more film to analyze. The SC players definitely seemed to jump some of the routes and 2 to 4 MORE interceptions were there for the taking. Remember USC has a terrible defense that gave up 41 points AT HOME to Arizona not too long ago. If C.a.l could only score 9 points at home against that D then...Wow! I would bet Utah, OSU and Washington State fans are a bit more eager to play C.a.l now.
