That game in South Bend was one for the ages.  The only time ND moved the ball was when he went to the locker room in the 2nd quarter IIRC.  Even "the bus" looked like a beanbag when Lynch would hit him.

Lynch played like a man possessed (in other words his usual game) against ND. I remember Bettis coming through the line with a full head of steam. Lynch hit him, stopped him dead in his tracks and separated him from the ball. It was awesome.
