I'll second BC, especially because we seem to go through this every single year. Has there been a year since Luck left where the offense was significantly ahead of the defense? Maybe last year because the DL was so crazy thin and the secondary was being remade, but my recollection is that even then it was a pretty good battle between the 1's. And since this is still pretty early in the process and starters haven't even been named, I'm not all that worried (I mean, besides the standard amount of pre-season worrying). After all, there's a good chance that this is the best defense the offense will see until bowl season. (Who's the competition for that title, Washington? Maybe ND if they stop getting arrested?)
