Hard to figure out how to take this article:

They pick UCLA at +3, but write:

Stanford’s multidimensional horse also boasts 10 receptions on the season, and he’s nearly impossible to contain in space. Suffice it to say, Jim Mora’s crew shouldn’t bank on improving to 5-1 vs. ranked foes since the beginning of 2014.

So maybe they are picking us but not to beat the spread?

Also, if UCLA is 5-1 against ranked teams since 2014, it's not hard to figure out who the one loss is to.

Lastly, ESPN's FEI picks us as less than an even bet.
