I figured one team would prove to be a bit overrated...but I didn't expect an old fashioned, in-your-face beat-down. Really, no aspect of game was good...even our previously unflappable punter shanked his first two boots. It's hard to explain this away by injuries, travel, short-week or bad on-field coaching. From my perspective, UW was just plain a better team...on this day...down the line....man for man...players and coaches. This was a brobdingnagian win for their program, their coach, their alums and the city of Seattle.Â
And I received no taunts (or woofs) or any negative comments from UW fans as I walked out of the stadium and through the campus wearing Stanford colors. Â
Seems like a real classy group of fans and alumni and I wish them well the rest of the season. And a great venue to watch college football.Â
