All of the above. When a lineman gets beat and our QB is sacked, he got outplayed, which could mean he was not well coached and/or the other player was better coached, and he was not prepared and/or the other player was more prepared. Lack of preparation can be the fault of the player and/or the coach. I've known players that resisted coaches trying to get them in shape. I've also seen coaches let players slack off on preparation.
The bottom line is that our TEAM lost because of all the individual battles that were lost. It only takes one player to blow his assignment for a play to get blown up.
I will say that there were so many blown assignments that I don't think the coaches could have done anything on gameday to change the outcome.
