Even if that scenario happens why would the Rose Bowl committee pick us, who have been there 3 of the past 4 years, over a team like Colorado that's never been, a resurgent Under Stanford Control (again) team that hasn't been in a while and has a ton of fans, or a WSU team with rabid alumni who hasn't been in over a decade?

I'd love to get the Rose Bowl, but that door almost certainly closed with the loss to Colorado.

I think that the Rose Bowl takes the Pac-12 team with the highest CFP committee ranking. So if UW makes the CFP and we are ranked higher than CU, USC, Utah and WSU, then we're in. But I agree with stupac2 that Stanford won't end up in the RB, because even if CU loses to Utah, the Buffs will finish the regular season ranked higher than Stanford. 10-5 sealed the deal, unfortunately.
