Unlike most people who only talk and fail to act, the players have put their bowl game and their scholarships on the line.  That takes courage.

Perhaps, but the courageous still need to choose their battles.  This was a no win suicide mission.  It seems that there is strong indications that this was a gang rape.  Those who were either directly or indirectly involved needed to be punished.

The players' withdrawl of the boycott seems to be the best resolution possible for all involved.  I'm glad for this outcome.  If the administration follows through with their promise to give the players fair hearings, all the better.
