MT, remember that the Other Cup does not award points for soccer and volleyball based on NCAA tournament results.  That would be too easy.  Points are determined by polls.

Fortunately, the final men's soccer poll did place Stanford #1 (although Wake Forest pulled in 3 votes for #1).

Of course, this can redound to our advantage too. We finished sixth in women's soccer, for example, even though we finished tied for seventeenth in the tournament. Presumably our tremendous season outweighed one extremely flukey game in the minds of voters.
