Or maybe he was just impressed by how handsome the UC East Bay players were...

Wulff is trying to save his job.  Washington State lost to Oregon by 15. They lost to C.a.l by 23.  He needs to calm the masses and give the alums a reason to believe they can beat UW.  And you know, I think they can beat UW because UW is definitely NOT the best team in the conference.
