Disappointed that CMac won't entertain me one last time in Cardinal uniform. But I give him 100% support for doing something in his own interest at this important stage for setting up career.
I don't get it as to why should any one should criticize him for pulling out of a meaningless game whose best outcome is Stanford's ranking rising by 5-6 notches. The RB position has a shelf life in terms of plays, and CMac brought it to every play in every game. Maybe he's still not back 100% from his injury, or maybe he just doesn't want a re-injury.Whatever it is, I liked his decisiveness in going Pro and making calls on what he needs to do. Just like he did on the field.
If anything, this should a message to the coaching staff on how to showcase exceptional talent when they are on the team. CMac was underused in his freshmen year and the poor development of the offense this season led to the current meaningless Bowl.
Thanks for the memories, Christian. Look forward to seeing you light it up on Sundays.
