I have to assume that Christian's father and his prospective agents took the NFL's temperature on this before making such a big decision.
There are many unsophisticated players susceptible to being fed uninformed advice by underqualified agents or runners, but Christian's situation is the exact opposite of that, so my conclusion is that NFL teams view his decision positively and actively encouraged it.
