Some posts indicate they are "disappointed" in CMac for deciding not to play in the next game, but that it is ok with them that he decided to not play in the 12 (minimum) games next year. That seems a bit contradictory to me. The idea that he is "letting down his teammates" assumes they actually want him to play. Maybe they don't. It could be that all parties involved have agreed it is better for the team and for CMac that he does NOT play. He doesn't get hurt, BLove and others get more reps, the line learns how to pass block better, etc. I expect that if Shaw felt that he really needed him, he would be available, i.e. if it was a NY6 bowl. I don't know this is true, but I also don't know that it isn't. This setup does possibly look like a win-win for everybody but perhaps the fans.
