UCB couldn't afford him anyway.  No reason to believe he would need to take anything less than $4 million per year in a return to college.  Lots of great college coaches have philosophies that don't translate into the NFL, but can return to college and revive their winning ways.  I expect Kelly to stay out a cycle and then jump into the next Big12 opening.

They pay the salaries and have fans open to raid philosophies.  Kelly seems very good at stopping other raid offenses, and the awful D that the is common in the Big12 would allow his offense to score at will.
