#1 and #7 are two of the most sought after numbers for college football players.  Now Stanford offers neither.  I doubt anyone makes their decision to attend a school based on the number they can wear, but it might be an influence at the outer margins, as part of a matrix decision or tie breaking exercise.

Ty Montgomery and Aziz Shittu also were good players who wore #7.  Were there any others of note beyond them, Elway and Gerhart?
