Vaughters was sought not only by Stanford on the West Coast, but also by UCLA and USC.   Vaughters took an official visit to USC on one of their home game weekends.  What\'s not to like about USC football on a game day in the Coliseum?    Well, not as much as the Trojans would have liked.   Vaughters stood with the staff and players on the USC sideline as Stanford hung USC\'s worst defeat ever-- 55-21-- on the Trojans.   That can\'t be good for recruiting to have your HS visitors not only witness the collapse on the field,  but experience the frustration, anger and miasma of defeat up close and personal.
