So we now have some better inside information on the decision. Ed McCaffery pointed specifically to Christian's two year workload (more touches than anyone else in D1 football?). I think it's reasonable to infer some level of discomfort with the design of the offense.

Sorry at this point that's just spin.  I really don't think they expected this kind of reaction because it doesn't appear that anyone inside the bubble he lived in was telling him how it might be viewed outside that bubble.
