I followed the swimming team closely in 1967, mostly because they were the only team on the farm the could beat USC (with OJ), and UCLA (with Alicindor and Wooden), and partly because one of my fraternity brothers (Bill Meyer) was on the team.  Here's a blast from the past:

Also, googled a few years ago Greg Buckingham after learning that he was Lindsey's brother.  Sad to learn that he passed away in 1990, age 45.  In his prime, Greg was arguably a better swimmer than Lindsey was a singer, guitar player and song writer.  RIP Greg.
