But let's not look at our program as all well & good. Stanford is still a stepping stone job, but that's one notch higher than Weenieville. I have no expectations that Haase will stay long-term. If he is successful a major program will come calling with big bucks that we can't possibly match. Wouldn't surprise me to one day see him take over for Bill Self, but he'd probably have to go be successful somewhere else first.

I, too, wouldn't be surprised if Haase did really well and moved on (although I'd much prefer if he did really well and stayed, a la Tara). It seems a Stanford alum would feel more inclined to stay for the long term, if successful (Shaw, Marquess). Don't we have someone that fits that profile in hoops?
