I see that Kathleen Baker was given CSCAA Swimmer of the Year.

SORRY, THAT'S SILLY.Â

Maybe she was high point winner of the meet (but not swimmer of the meet) as she had one more (non-DQed) relay than Ledecky, but NO WAY should she have been chosen as swimmer of the YEAR, nor even swimmer of the meet.Â

Ledecky had more 1st place finishes (3 individual, 2 relay whileÂ Baker had 3 individual, 1 relay).
Ledecky was the fastest swimmer of the year in 5 individual NCAA events, while Baker was the fastest swimmer of the year in 2 individual events.
Ledecky broke the American & NCAA records multiple times during the year, finishing with 5 separate NCAA & American records.Â Baker finished with one NCAA record.
