The Bean-towners have become downright insufferable in recent years. Thus, I was the only man in the room cheering when the Giants beat the long odds against the Patriots in the Super Bowl and may have been one of the few non-Laker fans on earth cheering the 2009 NBA finals. The Boston ego won't fully deflate until the Red Sox have missed another 90 years of World Series.
I would have rather seen UC East Bay win last night's competition. Oregon has become the Boston of College Football in my mind. A bunch of pink-Red-Sox-cap-wearing, fair weather blow hards who don't know their true place in the scheme of things.
And while I know it's in Stanford's best interests for the University of South Bend to win every game the play from here out this year except against the University of South Central and the Cardinal, I will take joy in all their failings.
Similar story for me, FarmBoy. The Boston sports fans are about as obnoxious as they come.
