Reggie Bush was probably that most recent high profile "multi threat" offensive player to enter the NFL, and that was a decade ago. Reggie's NFL career was "o.k.", he lasted 10 years which is well above average. But I think the expectations for McCaffrey are higher than than they were for Bush.
I'm not so sure about that. Bush was long seen as a potential #1 overall pick, and he went #2 overall. The hype was pretty incredible surrounding him, and I think he was expected to immediately be great. He wasn't. I think Christian's expectations are certainly high, and those of us on this board can't wait to see what he does, but I think the expectations for Bush were greater than they are for Christian. Maybe not by much, but greater.Â
