I think that Shaw tried too hard to build the offense around Montgomery in 2014, using him in a bunch of different roles. It did not really work.  I'm sorry about that.  I became game day friends with his mom who is one of the nicest people you will ever meet. I'm still a fan of Montgomery and hope that this is his year in Green Bay.

Part of it was that it became too obvious when we were going to get the ball to Ty.  He had the speed and moves that made him such a great player in 2013, but when everyone knows the following play is going to be an end-around to him, not much he can do about it.
