Wow, it's striking how many people have such similar estimates.
I put in Stanford 38-13.
I gave a little extra to Stanford relative to some people perhaps because, looking at Rice's schedule last year, most teams who beat them scored 40+, and apparently their defense is not an area of major hope for improvement. So even if Shaw goes super vanilla and lays off the gas, I think there are just going to be too many missed tackles, missed assignments, and outrun defenders this early in the season.
Even though I am super-excited about Stanford's defense this season, and normally I'd think they'd have the potential to play a shut out, Rice retrns all 5 offensive lineman this year, and some other offensive pieces. And the defensive front is where Stanford will be breaking in some new players, though I think Horrible Harry is gonna create some highlight tape. So I see them getting into the red zone a few times. I'm actually glad the defense will face an experienced, conpletely-returning o line this early, and I hope the defense gets some experience and some good notes to get ready for SC.
