Why on earth would it take two weeks to adjust to a time zone change? That's just silly. Using Cal's experience is inane, for one SDSU was a better team than them last year (41 vs 64 per F+), but also because Stanford is not Cal. I don't think that needs to be elaborated upon.
One thing I don't really understand about the USC hype is where it's coming from. It seems to be basically "DARNOLD LOOKED SO GOOD." Sure, so did Barkley. This is the same dance we've been doing for years, at some point you'd think that the media would cotton on. Oh well.
Anyway, predicting wins/losses is an exercise in futility, I think doing probabilities is more much sane. It's too bad that essentially no one does it.
